7. Season 2, Episode 19 - "Stan By Me"
When Spider-Man, Mary Jane and Harry get trapped inside of Midtown High because of the Lizard, there’s only one hero brave enough to protect them...that’s right, it’s Stan the janitor! Far from a mild-mannered janitor, it’s easy to see that Stan has a few tricks up his sleeves. And, come to think of it, this “Stan” guy looks kind of familiar!

8. Season 2, Episode 20 - "Game Over"
When Arcade sends Spider-Man into his “Murderworld,” what better company to have then Wolverine? Luckily, Spidey also has Captain America to keep Wolverine’s more deadly character traits in check.

Spider-Man teams up with Norman Osborn? Huh?!  Although this partnership sounds like a nightmare, Spider-Man needs help from Osborn in his new Iron Patriot armor to take down Doctor Octopus. 10. Season 2, Episodes 25 & 26 – “Blade” & “The Howling Commandos
On the spookiest night of the year, Spider-Man and his team need to deliver an Egyptian artifact to Blade. Don’t worry guys, Blade is only partially a vampire. Spider-Man's Ultimate Brain Swaps

Spider-Man's brain swaps banner

Spider-Man has a real hard time keeping his brain in his noggin. Over the past few years of his web-slinging career, a number of heroes and villains have confounded Peter Parker by kicking him out of his own body. Nothing is quite as disconcerting as looking in the mirror and seeing a stranger's face—especially if that stranger is an eight-foot tall green monster!

With the premiere of "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors" fast approaching—the two-parter hits your TV screen on Sunday, August 31 at 9 a.m. ET on Disney XD—we're going to take this opportunity to run through some of Spidey's most outrageous brain swaps!

SPIDER-MAN & WOLVERINE

Parker's brain switching shenanigans began—in a comic titled "Even We Don't Believe This"—when the teenager woke up in the older, hairier, and smellier body of Wolverine. A quick call to his Queens home proved his greatest fear: Wolverine had indeed taken control of his body. The duo swapped lives for a day, meaning Wolverine had to spend another day in high school and Spider-Man had to learn how to stop stabbing himself with his claws.

SPIDER-MAN & WOLVERINE… AGAIN

Years after its publication, the ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN two-parter became an "Ultimate Spider-Man" episode titled "Freaky." For the first time, Spider-fans got to see just how awkward Logan and Peter's body language looked when placed in the wrong body. The lumbering "Spidey" had to team up with the super agile "Wolverine" against the telepathic villain Mesmero in order to get their brains switched back to normal.

SPIDER-MAN & DOCTOR OCTOPUS

The longest brain swap in Spider-history occurred when Otto Octavius swapped places with Peter Parker in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #698. The bad news in addition to that bad news? Doc Ock was dying. The villain's body died before Spider-Man had a chance to escape, leaving the mad scientist in total control of Peter Parker's body indefinitely. The new "hero" decided to up Spider-Man's game, turning the hero into a "superior" version of himself by utilizing more tech and cutthroat tactics.

SPIDER-MAN & THE HULK

The devious Mesmero escaped S.H.I.E.L.D. custody and once again decided to put the hurt on Spider-Man in an episode titled "The Incredible Spider-Hulk." This time, however, the mastermind switched Spidey's mind with the rampaging Hulk! As if that wasn't enough to ruin Peter Parker's day, Mesmero threw a brainwashed Thing threw into the mix as well, pitting the hero's rocks against the "Hulk's" green hide.

See Spider-Man switch bodies with Loki in the premiere of "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors," airing this Sunday at 9 a.m. ET on Disney XD!

The Marvel Life: Mekhi Phifer

You probably know actor Mekhi Phifer best from his work on “8 Mile,” "ER" or “Divergent,” but do you know his favorite X-Man? It’s probably not the one you expect.

During a recent press call to promote his new film “The Suspect” we spoke about his love for Rogue, how he watches Marvel’s “Ultimate Spider-Man” with his son and much more!

Marvel.com: To begin, can you give fans a brief overview of what “The Suspect” is about?

Mekhi Phifer: I’ll describe it really quickly. I think it’s a cross between “The Usual Suspects” and “In the Heat of the Night” with Sidney Poitier. If those two films got married and had a kid, it’d be “The Suspect.” It’s definitely an intriguing film, you’re not on the edge of your seat all the time but you’re sort of wondering what the hell is gonna happen, what’s going on. You really don’t know until the end what’s happening.

Marvel.com: Speaking of that, up to the end, which I won’t spoil, I was having trouble finding a protagonist for the movie. In your opinion, who do you root for throughout the movie?

Mekhi Phifer: That’s the beauty about this particular project. There’s not one person that I think you root for. I think it depends on the audience members and their background on who it is you actually root for. I don’t think it’s a clear cut, black and white, who do you root for kind of thing. It deals with a lot of human nature and the essence of who people are. So it definitely deals with complexities of man, for lack of a better term.

Marvel.com: I loved how, although it’s almost an action-thriller, everything could and does happen in today’s society.

Mekhi Phifer: Right. I think that our guy, Stuart Connelly, our director, he really did a good job not only writing it but portraying in a realistic, unbiased way, the way people innately think. It’s interesting because I do a lot of road trips; I travel a lot on the road. I take RVs cross-country and that kind of stuff. You really get to see how segregated America still is when you stop in these small towns and things like that to get gas or what have you. It was a very interesting and compelling story for me.

Marvel.com: I think another great thing about it too was the subtlety of the police officers.

Mekhi Phifer: Right. But once certain questions were raised, certain things came out. It doesn’t make them bad people; it’s just their experience and how they grew up or what they were taught.

Marvel.com: What do you think about when you hear the name Marvel? Is there anything that comes to mind?

Mekhi Phifer: I love Marvel. You’ve got Spider-Man, this and that, but as a kid I grew up reading all the Marvel comics.

Marvel.com: Oh, really?

Mekhi Phifer: Oh, absolutely. No question about it. We’re talking X-Men and everything else that comes along with it. I just think of really cool comics when I think of Marvel and now good movies.

Marvel.com: Who would you favorite Marvel character be if you had to choose one?

Mekhi Phifer: Rogue from the X-Men. I liked that she could fly and do all this other stuff. I didn’t like that she couldn’t touch anybody. That sucks. I liked the powers of Rogue.

Marvel.com: What got you into comics in the first place when you were a kid?

Mekhi Phifer: It’s the same kind of thing that got me into being an actor; just the suspension of reality. It’s like why you go to the movies or why you go to a concert or something. It’s to be taken out of your normal, everyday life and be taken into another world. Comics always had a great way of doing that.

I’ve always wanted to play some sort of super hero or be in that kind of film. That’s what I loved about doing “Divergent” and things like that but I’ve always wanted to be in those kind of films. I have two sons, a 14 year old and a six year old and to see their dad in those movies would be great.

Marvel.com: What are they into comics-wise? Is it cool to have the kids like some of the same stuff you liked when you were growing up?

Mekhi Phifer: Yeah, my oldest is in high school now so he’s more into other things, socializing with his friends and all that kind of stuff. My youngest, he loves watching [“Ultimate Spider-Man”] on Disney XD and what have you. The way you watch things is different from when I was a kid with the way they watch it today with the iPads and all that kind of stuff. We only had a couple of channels and we would watch either right before 4 PM or on Saturday. That’s the only time we could see cartoons and now cartoons are almost on 24 hours a day, every day. It’s definitely different.

Marvel.com: Like you were saying earlier, you’ve been in such a wide array of things. Can fans check out anything else you’ve got coming up?

Mekhi Phifer: I just had a film released called “A Day Late and a Dollar Short” with Whoopi Goldberg and just a great cast. “Divergent” is still in theaters!

Check out “The Suspect” out now on DVD and Blu-ray. You can also follow Mekhi on Twitter @MekhiPhifer.

To celebrate this momentous team-up, we're counting the 10 best team-ups that have happened in the first two seasons! If you can't wait until Sunday to see the premiere, it's available for free now on iTunes. Read the list below to see if your favorite episodes made it

1. Season 1, Episode 2 – “Great Responsibility
Well of course we have to include the episode that originally brings Spider-Man together with his future partners Nova, White Tiger, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist! The heroes team-up to take down the Frightful Four and prove they’re a force to be reckoned with for seasons to come! Not to mention how good of friends they become...eventually.

2. Season 1, Episode 5 – "Flight of the Iron Spider"
Spider-Man meets one of his idols when he comes mask-to-mask with Iron Man. When he impresses ol' Shellhead, Spidey gets his very own “Iron Spider” suit! Sadly, he lets it go to his head and Spider-Man has a falling out with his team, but their friendship perseveres. Keep your eyes out for the Iron Spider in the new season!

3. Season 1, Episode 9 - "Freaky"
Spider-Man and Wolverine are able to take down the villain Mesmero, but not without a cost! To get payback, Mesmero swaps Wolverine and Spidey’s minds and the hilarity ensues!

4. Season 1, Episode 19 - "Home Sick Hulk"
It’s up to Spider-Man to play Spider-Nurse when Hulk comes down with a strange alien infection! Spidey has to hide Hulk from Aunt May while also finding out what made Hulk sick. Lots of great moments come from the Hulk hiding hijinx!

5. Season 2, Episode 15 - "Ultimate Deadpool"
Similar in costume, different in personality! Spider-Man teams up with the “hero” Deadpool to try to recover some files that would uncover the secret identity of every super hero who works with S.H.I.E.L.D., himself included! Spider-Man soon learns the kind of “hero” that Deadpool is when the two jokesters team-up.

6. Season 2, Episode 17 - "Guardians of the Galaxy"
Spider-Man and teammate Nova head into outer space for an intergalactic team-up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, and Rocket are all here in this outer space adventure. If you’ve seen Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” this episode is definitely worth a re-watch!

9. Season 2, Episode 21 - "Second Chance Hero"
Spider-Man teams up with Norman Osborn? Huh?!  Although this partnership sounds like a nightmare, Spider-Man needs help from Osborn in his new Iron Patriot armor to take down Doctor Octopus. Will Norman Revert to his old ways? Well, of course, but not without at least pretending to do some good first!

10. Season 2, Episodes 25 & 26 – “Blade” & “The Howling Commandos
On the spookiest night of the year, Spider-Man and his team need to deliver an Egyptian artifact to Blade. Don’t worry guys, Blade is only partially a vampire. Unfortunately, an army of vampire wants the artifact for themselves!  Spider-Man, his team, Blade, and even Nick Fury’s Howling Commandos all need to come together to take down Dracula in this two-part Halloween event!
